Cranes to play at Bestival!!
Cranes have been confirmed to play at Bestival! We will be playing on Saturday September 1oth, 2011 and the CURE are headlining! Also PJ Harvey, Bjork, Crystal Castles, Primal Scream, Magnetic Man, DJ Shadow, and many, many more. It will be wonderful to see the Cure again. Bestival is in a beautiful spot on the Isle of Wight, just across the water from where we live so we are really looking forward to it! www.bestival.net

Just to let you know we have made a calendar for 2011! The calendar features some of our favourite artwork from over the years, including early Cranes EP's such as "Espero" and "Adoration" and many images from Cranes album sleeves too. Beautifully printed onto 285 gsm card, each calendar has been assembled by hand and ring-bound. The calendar features a different sleeve image for each month of the year and is available now for pre-order from Dadaphonic, (to be released on November 22). The first 100 calendars will be signed by all the group so please mention in the comments/special instructions box on your order form, if you would
like your copy to be signed, thanks! If you would like your calendar to be delivered in time for Christmas, please place your order as soon as possible, thanks again! We wanted to gather together some of our favourite cranes sleeve images from over the years... hope you'll like it, sort of like having a little poster for each month

Carmen Rosa - New album

Carmen Rosa (the group whose singer Ben Baxter is also the bassist in Cranes) has just released a great new album entitled "Souls". The album has 14 songs and features Ben on vocals, Jonny Callender on drums, Dave Neal on guitar, Steve Verdin on guitar and Laura Kirk also on vocals. The album is available now as a free download! Hello! Thanks very much for visiting our new Dadaphonic Recordings website. We hope you will enjoy this site, where you can listen to songs and find special high quality download versions of many Cranes albums, including the previously unavailable Future Songs, Particles & Waves and Submarine . Several other EP’s etc are also available for download as well as some physical items such as CD’s and T.Shirts etc, which can be found on our new mailorder page. Cranes are currently working on new songs and we hope to release a new album later this year.
Thanks to everyone who came to see us play at the Jazz Café in London in April and at Whelans in Dublin! There was a great atmosphere at the shows and it was brilliant to see everyone again. We loved visiting Ireland! Some photos from the Dublin show (taken by Seb Dooris) can be found on the Photos page along with pictures from our show at the Luminaire last year (including the one above by Ricardo Vargas Bueno) and other selected photos by Annelies Rosencrantz, Nando, Oli B and Gael Berri, which can all be viewed in a slideshow.

We’ve just heard that the shows that had been pencilled in for Spain in November have now been postponed. We’re so sorry! We had been looking forward to playing there again. Anyway, we hope to re-arrange the dates for next year and we will let you know as soon as we have more info.
